Pittsburgh, PA - Edgeworth, Inc., a Pittsburgh-based human-capital consulting firm, contracted with Amtrak, The National Railroad Passenger Corporation, to help drive its initiative to become financially self-sufficient. Edgeworth, with help from management within Amtrak's engineering division, designed an interactive board game that served as a roadmap for operational employees to use in understanding the financial concepts to move Amtrak forward. Two hundred and fifty Amtrak engineering managers played the customized game in order to learn how to run the railroad like a Fortune 500 company and rally around the idea of operational efficiency.
