Pittsburgh, PA - Edgeworth, Inc., a Pittsburgh-based human-capital consulting firm, has announced an agreement to help Norfolk Southern Railroad's New Officer Training Program. Norfolk Southern (NS) is one of the country's primary freight railroads, serving the Southeast, Mid-Atlantic and Midwest areas of the United States.

All new supervisory and management employees of the organization will be required to complete the NS "Bottom Line Basics" financial program. The goal of the program is to provide an overview of the company's business, complete with an historical review of the railroad and an assessment of its future direction. Participants will also understand how NS compiles its financial results, emphasizing how individual performance affects the total financial picture.
